Rachel graduated with an MA in Sequential Design/ Illustration in 2013 following an early training in Textile Art. She has been making automata, figurative sculptures and jewellery inspired by folklore and fairy tales for over twenty years. Diverse past clients include many high profile designers and performers. Each piece is carefully modelled by hand and hand painted.

Rachel is drawn to objects which are considered precious and ephemeral; mourning jewellery holding hair; bell jars holding birds, insects or naive dolls; dioramas and ships in bottles. The pieces she makes are influenced by the intimacy and hidden stories of small scale miniatures as well as by folklore and fairy tales.
